No Time Today Bread Machine Milk Bread

No Time Today Bread Machine Milk Bread

We all know those days where we just can’t spend another extra minute in the kitchen. This bread is what I make on those days. It is a throw all ingredients into the bread machine and walk away type of recipe.  And as much as I love being in the kitchen, sometimes what I make just needs to be fast and easy. And the great part, it is still homemade, and I know exactly what I am feeding to my family. Afterall, we are allowed to stop overthinking what we create sometimes. Just bake some bread. You and your family might love a fast version just as much.

No bread machine, no problem. You can also mix everything together, knead well, rise for an hour, shape into a loaf, drop into a bread pan and rise until the oven is heated to 400 and bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown. Don’t forget to cover your bread with a clean dish towel while it’s rising.

But there’s no time today to sit and chat, so here is the entire magic, let’s go. First, weigh the butter, add the milk, sugar, and salt first.  Use what you have in your kitchen. There will be slight variations to the outcome, but it will still taste lovely. If you have no milk, use 230 ml water and 25g milk powder instead. I do this fairly often, to keep our milk for fresh consumption.

Top it all with the flour and the yeast.

Set the baking pan into your bread machine, turn it to a sweet bread or other yeast bread program, and walk away.

Once the bread is done baking, lift the pan out turn it over and gently shake the baked bread out of the form. Let it cool on a rack to prevent moisture loss. Done!

After the bread has cooled, cut open and enjoy. It is sweet, moist, and really delicious. My kid asks for this on a regular basis. It makes really tasty grilled cheese as well, but I prefer it with jam.
