Salad with Grapes, Red Onion, and Cheese
A nice big bowl of salad just hits differently at times. There is so much joy in mixing various ingredients from your kitchen together, topping it all off with various dressing options and it tasting delicious. This is one of my favorite combinations.
I love to start my salads with a good mix of dark leafy greens. Peppery arugula, mild spinach, and sweet kale are always great options.
I then chop a few pieces of red onion and sprinkle them over the greens.
Next up the red grapes. I cut them in half, as it makes eating this salad a lot easier. Trying to poke a round grape is a bit too much excitement during lunch for me. But throw them in as is and enjoy the challenge. Your salad, your games.
Now for the dairy part in this salad. A few bite size pieces of cheese make a great addition and go really well with the red grapes.
And lastly, I add a simple homemade balsamic dressing on top, but you can use whatever you have on hand or prefer. And if you like protein on your salad, hardboiled eggs or a little chicken works nicely with this combination. Enjoy!
